Oil Paint

This piece combines various objects from my room, each drawn from a different perspective, including a green Vans shoe, a purple bouquet of pipe-cleaner flowers, and my stuffed pig from the video game Minecraft. I initially struggled with the background until my teacher pointed out what he thought was a sad-looking hippo. After explaining that the character was from Minecraft, he suggested leaning further into the game’s visual world. The background is based on Creebet, one of Minecraft’s in-game paintings, which helped unify the composition and solidify the piece’s connection to digital nostalgia and personal space.
