Acrylic Gouache

This piece was inspired by kaiju, the massive monsters found in Japanese media such as Godzilla and Mothra. I wanted to exaggerate scale and place something fantastical within a real, iconic landscape. I also challenged myself by working heavily with orange, which is my least favorite color, using it intentionally to push my comfort level and expand my color sensibilities.
