Body Paint

This piece was created as part of my final project, where I was allowed to revisit and redo a previous assignment. I chose my camouflage assignment because it was a concept I felt especially confident in. I was inspired by the show Skin Wars, particularly an episode where contestants camouflaged people within a grocery store environment. I also referenced Vincent van Gogh’s Almond Blossoms, a work that holds strong cultural and art historical significance. This piece is intended to be displayed alongside Hiding in The Yellow Almond Blossoms, functioning as a sister piece. When placed together, the two works appear to interact with one another, creating a quiet visual dialogue.
