Oil paint on paper

This piece was my second formal study using oil paints. Unlike my first oil painting, Art Study of Oil Paints (the Pikachu Plushy piece), I was allowed to use white, which dramatically shifted my experience with the medium. Having access to white paint gave me more control over value, highlights, and depth, and made the process far more enjoyable and exploratory. This work reflects a turning point in my comfort with oils and my growing understanding of how color and light interact within the medium.
